High resolution does not by itself prove code quality

DPI describes dot density. Readability also depends on symbol size, contrast, substrate, consumable, print distance, movement, code construction and what happens to the pack after printing.

Text and graphics

Approve the smallest character, thinnest line, logo detail and full message at the intended size. Check spread on absorbent stock and missing or distorted dots on coated or moving surfaces.

Barcodes and 2D codes

Use the required data, symbol size, quiet zones and final-pack location. Test decode with the agreed device and use formal verification only where the project requires a defined grading method.
